Speed Slide
Speed Slide was the little brother to the free fall. It was also 35 metres high, and shared the top podium of the Beach Tower with it. Owing to the nature of the slide, Speed Slide was a lot more popular with children (over 137cm) and families. It was a lot tamer. Top speed for a large person, would be around 40km/h.
Rash shirts and t-shirts were not allowed on this ride, as guests would often get stuck if they wore them due to the increased friction. Sometimes small children would also get stuck as they simply did not have the weight and momentum to overcome the friction with the ride (especially if they sat up too much)
Riding position was the same as the Free Fall. On your back, legs crossed at the ankles and arms folded across the chest.
